We have a heart for those who have struggled with addiction. Pastor Randy has walked through this battle and found that God is the only answer to this battle. God spoke to him about this battle in his life by asking him a simple question, “What is your Why?” This birthed the book titled “A biblical foundation for freedom.”

While he was attending college at Harding University in Searcy Ark. God directed him to work on the book and used that to guide him to find healing in his life. The book grew larger and became a burden to develop a program that can help others who struggled with addiction.

The burden remained with Pastor Simmons for years even after his graduation. He carried this burden even as he traveled from Arkansas until he arrived in Colorado. When Pastor Simmons and his wife arrived in Victor he found a town that has been bound with addiction. He decided to plant the Freedom Center in the town of Victor.
